About Standrin

Avant-Garde

Standrin is an avant-garde British design company producing stylish handmade and re-purposed furniture for the modern home.

Established in 1998 by Ken Standrin, the Standrin Studio and Gallery celebrates design as an art form. Ken's trained eye is responsible for sourcing each individual piece to his exacting standards.

Furniture - The Best of British Design, Handmade by Standrin

Contemporary sofas such as the Westbourne (featured here) are designed for larger spaces and are popular with our corporate clients. The compact Soho range works perfectly where space is limited and dimensions can be adapted to fit the client's home. The Soho MiniSofa epitomises this collection.

Clients may provide their own fabrics or choose from a range of fabrics supplied to us by Kirkby and Romo. We encourage you to view our collections in person at our Winchester Gallery where we can discuss your requirements in more detail.

A range of complementary accessories including lighting, mirrors, cushions and footstools and works of contemporary art are available to buy from the gallery.

The Standrin Studio - The Creative Hub That Gives Furniture That Trademark 'Wow Factor'

Standrin has an experienced in-house team of designer-makers who ensure that the highest standards of bespoke furniture making are maintained. Led by Ken Standrin as Creative Director, they like to push the boundaries of British design with their own unique collections. Recent projects include the KlaSh range of chairs and tables which is featured here

The 'KlaSh' furniture collection features traditional English furniture as you've never seen it before. With KlaSh, Standrin is taking some of the most iconic designs in English furniture and giving them a new lease of life, using a technique that Ken Standrin describes as 're-purposing':

'KlaSh' reflects the rebellious, 'no limits' spirit of the Standrin team. We like to look at the world in a different way. Re-purposing is about taking a piece of furniture that's collecting dust in the corner of a room and using our creative talents to transform it into a statement piece. It only works if you start with great quality British design, but what we've done with it means it now turns heads instead of going unnoticed.
